Clairton, PA--
Mother Nature took her toll on the size of the crowd tonight. On Tuesday
of this week, I was wearing shorts. Today, many local schools had early
dismissals because of a snow storm. The members of the Sons of Columbus who did
venture out seemed to enjoy what we were doing, but we were no competition for
the Pittsburgh Penguins and the first round of the NCAA tournament. Eventually,
as is typically the case, the more they drank, the better we got, and it turned
out to be a pretty fun night after all. We started seeing more faces around
quitting time (1 a.m.) but decided to stick around for another hour, which
seemed to fly by. Happy Birthday again to Diane (top right) who not only blew
out a candle, but blew the train whistle. |
